Green sandalwood has a fresh, fragrant aroma with a hint of dried plum; it is commonly used in incense for Chinese Zen temples. The wood is hard and resistant to decay.
Newly arrived beads may appear greenish-yellowish-brown, but after initial exposure to sunlight or handling, they gradually turn greener. The wood is of fine quality, with a smooth texture and a lingering fragrance.
Wearing green sandalwood is believed to help combat fatigue and promote restful sleep; it is also often regarded as a symbol of good luck that wards off misfortune.
